2025
THEME:
GRIT
This year's key visual design is once again led by Studio Kekfeng's Kekfeng Lee as Visual Design Lead. In resonance with the conference theme “GRIT”, the design embodies a force tempered amidst wind and waves. Howling gusts and surging tides are transformed into flowing lines and luminous trails, carrying the tension of speed and rhythm. These lines not only symbolize the raw power of nature but also metaphorically represent humanity's resilience in seeking direction through the storm. The curves of the waves convey fluidity and adaptability, while the sharp beams of light reflect determination and hope. Dynamic ripples intertwine with striking wind shadows, forming an unstoppable momentum that immerses the viewer in the tide, embarking on a journey of dialogue with the future.
Beyond a visual rendering of wind and waves, the design carries deeper intent. Red serves as the primary tone, fierce, resolute and passionate while continuing TEDxPetalingStreet's spirit of iteration and reinvention. Through bold contrasts with vivid accents of blue, yellow, and cyan, red generates a striking visual impact that is both dynamic and contemporary. It reminds us that within the torrents of our times, every breakthrough is a redefinition of direction. Visuals, then, are no longer merely arrangements of form and color, but a resonance of spirit and aesthetics. Just as TEDxPetalingStreet itself is not only about spreading ideas, but also about embodying courage and reinvention: daring to break old frameworks, reshaping visual language, and even leading the tides of contemporary local design.
This is not only persistence, but also courage; not merely a visual expression, but a force that gathers depth, surges forward, and carries us into the future.
